Cold Feeling

Lonely and forboden the people look today,
Holding their packages of nothing.
Chatting on phones to fake friends,
Glancing around to grimace with loathing.

Stopping to wonder,"Where has love gone?"
An old lady shivers on a grimy bus,
Thinking of the joys of youth
Reminding that love can leave us.

Hold fast to the streets of filth
Smile at the blank faces that pass.
To love and laughter of music and friends,
For who knows how long it will last...
